The magnetically shielded series dual-winding inductor is assembled with a drum core and ring core. The magnetic shielded ring core covers the areas around the coil to give these products as the closed magnetic circuit. The advantage of the shielded inductor is to block both external and inside magnetism from having any external effects. This series product possesses constant DC superimposition characteristics and works excellent in SEPIC topology. That means this coupled shielded inductor could categorize to inductor mode (boost and coupled inductor) / transformer mode (flyback transformer or SEPIC).
