SMD Common-Mode Chokes for Power Line EMC & High-Speed Differential Pair
Coilmaster’s SMD common-mode chokes are designed for both power lines and high-speed data lines. For power applications, MnZn-based SMD chokes provide high current handling, strong impedance across low to mid frequencies, and isolation ratings up to 1500–2000 Vrms. These compact parts support currents up to 13A, making them suitable for AC line filters, DC-DC converters, adapters, and battery power rails. For high-speed differential data lines, NiZn-based SMD chokes offer ultra-high suppression frequencies up to 1.2 GHz, low insertion loss (Sdd21), and stable common-mode impedance, making them ideal for USB, HDMI, LVDS, and high-speed communication interfaces that require excellent EMC performance.
Power-line CMCs use MnZn material for higher inductance and stronger low-frequency suppression, while signal-line CMCs use NiZn cores for GHz-range noise filtering. Coilmaster provides a complete SMD portfolio—ranging from low-DCR power chokes to miniature MM-series signal chokes—allowing designers to select the correct device based on current rating, data rate, EMC environment, and target impedance.
