Coilmaster’s high-frequency SMD common-mode choke series (MM Series) is specifically designed for CAN Bus, differential data lines, RF circuits, and high-speed interfaces requiring excellent common-mode noise suppression up to the GHz range. Available in industry-standard sizes from 0402 (1005) to 1812 (4532), these wire-wound SMD chokes provide low insertion loss (Low S
dd21 ), high SRF, and stable differential-mode characteristics essential for modern high-speed communication systems.
As automotive, industrial, and communication equipment integrate more ECUs and high-speed data paths, noise suppression becomes crucial for ensuring system reliability and signal integrity. Coilmaster’s MM series uses NiZn high-frequency core material to achieve wide-band EMI filtering from MHz to GHz, while maintaining low DCR and strong current-carrying capacity. Suitable for USB 2.0 / 3.0, HDMI 2.0, LVDS, IEEE 1394, CAN Bus, and other high-speed differential interfaces. All products are RoHS, REACH compliant, and halogen-free.
Function of common mode choke
Common-mode chokes reject noise by allowing differential-mode signals to pass while blocking common-mode currents.
• In common mode, both lines carry noise in the same direction → magnetic flux adds → high inductance (Impedance) → noise is suppressed.
• In differential mode, the signals travel in opposite directions → flux cancels → signals pass without distortion (Low Insertion Loss).
